With the support of a BFI Vision Award, barry crerar have been focusing on developing a slate of contemporary and culturally relevant stories from Scotland. We are committed to working with new and under-represented voices. Filmmakers include Esther May Campbell (Light Years), Paul Wright (For Those In Peril) and Scott Graham (Iona, Shell).
Alongside this we have produced two films with artist filmmaker Rachel Maclean, Spite Your Face, representing Scotland at the Venice Biennale 2017, and R U Satisfied?, in post-production, TX C4 2018.
We are currently financing Born to Run, the 3rd feature from writer/director Scott Graham, in co-production with Margaret Matheson’s bard entertainments. We are also in pre-production with BFI & Creative Scotland funded short, Be Still My Beating Heart writer/director Ruth Paxton.
Rosie and Ciara have over 10 years production experience from exec producing features, producing award-winning short films and high-end TV commercials. Previously Rosie was Development & Production Executive at Creative Scotland, credits include Peter Mackie Burns & The Bureau’s Daphne, to be released by Altitude 2017. Prior to this Rosie was Programme Manager at BFI London Film Festival & BFI Flare. Ciara was Development & Production Executive on the UK Film Council funded DigiCult’s shorts programme.
