THE FLAMING HEART is the poetic, richly grotesque, blackly stylish journey of a stateless woman who goes home to die, and finds reasons to live. A contemporary fable nestled in a snow-sport tourist-town, in an epic mountainous region of the Scottish Highlands.

Ruth Paxton is the writer/director of multiple award winning short films, including PARIS/SEXY winner of the UKFC Best British Short, produced by Rosie Crerar. She is currently in post-production on her short film BE STILL MY BEATING HEART, also produced by barry crerar. Ruth is a Guiding Lights 8 mentee.
